Our Methodology

How Crypto20 stays accurate, objective, and efficient.

1. Source Aggregation

We don't just summarize the first link we find. Our system monitors 33 crypto-focused news outlets across every major segment of the industry.

Bitcoin (5) Bitcoin Magazine, Cointelegraph, NewsBTC, Bitcoinist, CryptoNews
Ethereum (4) Ethereum Foundation Blog, Cointelegraph Ethereum, BeInCrypto, DLNews
DeFi (4) The Defiant, Decrypt, DLNews, Crypto Briefing
NFTs & Gaming (4) Decrypt, DappRadar, Cointelegraph NFT, CryptoSlate
Regulation (5) Bloomberg Crypto, Protos, DLNews, CryptoNews, BeInCrypto
Markets (5) Cointelegraph Markets, CryptoSlate, Decrypt, Crypto Briefing, Wu Blockchain
Layer 2 & Infra (5) Cointelegraph, Unchained, Chainlink Blog, DLNews, Crypto Briefing
Multi-Source Verification

Every story is cross-referenced across multiple independent outlets before it makes the cut. No single-source rumors.

Freshness First

We use a 36-hour hard cutoff and prioritize the newest developments. The top 5 stories must be from the last 10 hours, supplemented by CoinGecko Trending data.

2. AI Curation

We use Claude (Anthropic's AI) to process 500+ crypto articles daily. The AI follows strict editorial rules designed for crypto journalism:

  • No Price Predictions β€” The AI never speculates on price direction, makes buy/sell recommendations, or provides financial advice of any kind.
  • No Editorializing β€” No loaded adjectives, no hype, no FUD. Just the facts: who, what, where, and why.
  • The "Noise" Filter β€” Our algorithms filter out shilling, low-quality token promotions, and recycled press releases to focus on stories with genuine market impact.
  • Weighted Distribution β€” Stories are weighted across Bitcoin, Ethereum, Markets, Regulation, DeFi, NFTs, and Layer 2 to give a complete picture of the ecosystem.
  • 3-Day Dedup β€” The system tracks the last 3 days of headlines to avoid repeating stories, ensuring every digest is fresh.
  • Dual Language β€” Every digest is simultaneously produced in English and Chinese.

3. Quality Assurance

While AI handles the speed, quality controls ensure accuracy.

  • Source Verification β€” Every summary includes direct links to the original reporting so you can verify claims yourself.
  • Multi-Source Requirement β€” Stories must appear across multiple independent outlets to be included.
  • Trending Signals β€” CoinGecko Trending API and Google Trends data are used as ranking signals to surface what the market is actually paying attention to.
  • Feedback Integration β€” User reports are reviewed to refine the AI's prompting and source selection over time.

4. Radical Transparency

We believe you should never have to take our word for it.

  • Source Links β€” Every summary includes direct links to the original reporting.
  • Not Financial Advice β€” Crypto20 is an informational digest. We explicitly avoid price predictions, investment recommendations, and market timing advice.
  • Open Stack β€” Built with Astro, curated by Claude, deployed on Vercel. We're transparent about the tools we use because AI should be a glass box, not a black box.
  • No Sponsors β€” No paid placements, sponsored content, or advertising of any kind.
  • No Paywalls β€” The digest is free and always will be.
